Released on April 18, this issue is full of fantastic work from our teenage and over 19 contributors.
As always, we have an amazing selection of fiction and artwork to lose yourself in and some fabulous reviews of the latest teen and YA books that you can add to your ‘To Be Read’ piles.
The perfect journal for teens who love to read, as well as older YA enthusiasts.
What’s included in Issue 11?
- Poetry, short stories, and flash fiction from teen and adult contributors.
- Gorgeous artwork in a variety of media from photography to painting
- Features exploring STEM and fanfiction and Unpublishable Writing
- An interview with Amy Clarkin, author of What Walks These Halls
- Our book club discussion of Adiba Jaigirdar’s The Henna Wars
- Reviews of Bitterthorn, The Door of No Return, Lies We Sing To The Sea, and many more!
Our cover art, Step Up by Ibrahim Ajani Lawal is a vibrant, animated piece. We felt it was a good fit for a spring issue as we take steps forward into the new season, leaving the dark winter behind us. It’s also a reminder to take that first step in starting a new project or endeavour: maybe a piece of artwork or writing, or starting a new book series you’ve been meaning to read. Perhaps it’s the decision to submit your work to our journal!
Leo Tolstoy wrote, “Spring is the time of plans and projects” – what are yours?
