Description
Released on November 30, this issue is full of encounters with hidden realities and obscured identities, of mythical yet human creatures, of sleeping and waiting, memories and wishes, things said and unsaid. Kenneth Grahame in The Wind in the Willows says, “no animal … is ever expected to do anything strenuous, or heroic, or even moderately active during the off-season of winter.” We find winter quietly heroic in its introspection, and this issue reflects that like snow glow at night, the heroism of disturbing what is insulated in our hearts and setting it free. The quietness of being, and being enough. Our artists and writers, even our reviewers, express this exquisitely.
